Am going to try to make "Impressive Photos" a regular part of this blog. I run into many, many talented photographers on Flickr. So I thought I would share some of the inspirational work with you. One way I get inspired and learn about "good" photography is to look at "good" photography. I hope to bring you a variety of styles and subject matter
I doubt I can improve on Jerry Patterson's work! But I can try to emulate his vision in my own encounters with landscapes. If nothing else, his work will make you want to visit the Tetons. http://www.flickr.com/photos/wrtrekker/ Enjoy!

The CCC annual business meeting came and went last Wednesday. A rather disappointing and shameful turnout despite the promise of good food and a slide show of members images from various club activities and meet-ups. The pot luck lived up to expectations despite the few number of contributors. The audience seemed to like the images, especially a special slide show set to music of a photo shoot we did in 2011 with the New London Motorcycle Club. But too few members had the gumption to contribute to the pool of images from this past year. I know that many of you participated in the HiJinx night and the Night Photography program and I know that others were at meet-ups over the last year. Where were your images? You must have had something to contribute.
Several members were unable to attend the meeting due to conflicts but when less than half the membership shows up you have to wonder what's wrong with this picture. In the past, these meetings are usually well attended. Members like to see what their fellow members have done and they especially like to have some time to just talk about cameras and photography and get to know one another. Any thoughts to share? |
