Upcoming Meetings (& Important Dates):
First meeting of 2017-2018 season: Wednesday, September 20 - Meet & Greet, Members' Personal Projects
Our first meeting for the new club year is September 20th. It is labeled a “meet and greet”. Photos submitted for first project of the year will be shown at this meeting which means you have the summer to complete it. We are calling it a "personal photography project" in which you put together a set of images around a theme of your choice. Right now we think that 15-20 images is a workable number, but this may change. Read Mike Frechette’s article on Photography Projects on page 4 of The Image.
Wednesday, October 4 – Peter Guerard, The Sharper Image in Landscape Photography
Peter Guerard, past president of Charter Oak Photographic Society, will give a presentation on equipment and field techniques for a sharper image in landscape photography. The 90-minute PowerPoint lecture will talk about camera and lens settings, the use of a tripod, the digital sensor, and topics up to the import of the image into Camera RAW.
Meeting and Exhibit dates posted!
