Restrictions have been relaxed and we are once again meeting at the Madison Senior Center but giving members the option of sitting-in via Zoom from home when possible. Masking at the Senior Center is suggested but optional as of Nov. 8, 2021.

2021-2022--Schedule:

​​September 2021 meeting: Wednesday the 15th is our first meeting of the club year. Members will share their summer activity images; submitted photos will be shown as mini slide shows. We will discuss the up-coming year.
​
October meetings: On the 6th a critique night is planned. Members are encouraged to submit images.
Our Fall exhibit at the Madison Senior Center will open on the 20th. Members will show images in 6 categories. The public is invited to attend.


November meetings: Via Zoom (either together at the senior center or from home)--On the 3rd we are hosting Lisa Langell. Topic The Creative Photographer in All of Us.
The meeting on the 17th is Macro Photography; Tools and Tips for Getting Started by Stephen Neff courtesy of Hunt's Photo.


December meeting:  On the 1st we will view member images from the October/November Road Rally around Chester, CT. Members were given a list of locations and photo subjects to capture at each location. 

January 2022 meetings: On the 5th Via Zoom (either together at the senior center or from home) we will host David Long presenting
 "Shooting Winter Landscapes in New England" that covers equipment, dress, techniques and composition suggestions.
On January 8th we will be hanging our annual Portfolio show at the CT Hospice in Branford, CT. Members are free to present a selected collection of their images. The show is open during regular Hospice hours and runs thru March 19th.
And on January 19th there will be a Print critique session. Members bring 1 or 2 prints for discussion. Due to expected low participation this program is cancelled. A Zoom of a webinar replay by Ian Plant on Creative Landscape Photography has been substituted.

February meetings: On the 2nd we will have Lewis Katz [
www.lewiskatzphotography.com] presenting his program "FROM CAPTURE TO PRINT : THE ART OF BLACK AND WHITE PHOTOGRAPHY" This will be a Zoom presentation. We will not meet at the Senior Center.
On the 16th member Mark Janke will present a talk on creating a slide show based on NCH "Photostage" software. (this is a change from original schedule)

March meetings: On the 2nd Member images are projected and a critique panel offers comments on how they might be improved [will not meet at Senior Center]. (this is a change from original schedule) 

March 16th TBD  (this is a change from original schedule)

April meetings: Wednesday April 6th will be a judged competition in 3 categories: Color, Black & White and Digital Art.
On the 20th member Susan Frechette will share her experience attending a winter photo workshop out west. And members Jeannine Smith and Peter Chow will talk about their team project.
On April 25th we will hang our Spring judged show at the Madison Senior Center. Awards are given in 6 categories. Opening reception is planned for May 4th.

May meetings:
The 4th is the opening of our Spring exhibit at the Madison Senior Center. The reception is open to the public. The show runs until June 3rd. We will also have an informal print critique session to make for the one we missed in January.
On the 18th we will be viewing member images submitted for the yearly projects: My Town and a team project chosen by members who team up.

June meeting: Our last meeting for the club year will be held on June 1st. We will have our annual business meeting including election of officers. A pot-luck supper is planned.
