File Naming Rules
Follow these rules when submitting any image to the Coastal Camera Club:
Files should be named using the following format:
X#$Coastal$LastName$FistName$ImageTittle$YYYY-MM.jpg
X = the type of file (Open=O, Digital Art=A, Black&White=B, etc) and YYYY-MM is the year and month of the event for which you are submitting the file. For example: O2$Coastal$Smith$John$The Red Barn$2011-01, this is image #2 by John Smith of the Coastal Camera Club titled The Red Barn to be submitted to a competition in January of 2011.
File Size (updated April 2016)
**Please remember the maximum size for competitions with the new projector is 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels tall. Important tips:
This is a maximum for each dimension; that is, if you have a square image, it must be sized to 1080x1080.
When emailing images, be sure your email program does not resize the images.
If the files are to be used in a club critique, they can be full size.
Images must be submitted to clubcoastalcamera@gmail.com with the subject line indicating the event for which you are submitting. If sending multiple images, they might need to be sent in more than one email. Please do not use Zip compression as it cannot be opened in Gmail. It requires using a computer and resending them to the gmail account.
