Former member, Maura Kelly got married last month. I asked her to send me some photos to share with the club. She kindly sent these with this note:

"My wedding was amazing: 60 degree day, beautiful skies, family, friends, love and fun surrounding Jesse and I. We couldn't have asked for a better day! I have attached a few pictures for you to see! 
Maura"


She did not join this year because of a schedule conflict. We hope to see her back next year.

As I write this blog post the snow is falling. Of course the ground is already covered from the previous storms. Though I loathe the winter and the yuck of dealing with snow, it does improve the look of the landscape. I came across this group on Flickr. Sunday we lost a long time member, Ernie Anderson of Madison. Ernie had a great eye for photography and was always ready to be of help to the club. He also was a volunteer at the Shoreline Trolley Museum as a conductor. The two interests merged when he invited the club to the museum for a private photo session one evening. Despite the rain we had a great time photographing the old trolley cars and Ernie delighted in being our host. Ernie will be missed.

The CCC Exhibit of Members’ Work was hung yesterday at the Scranton Memorial Library in Madison, CT. There were 88 images submitted and they filled the walls of the community room! Allison and her crew of five volunteers really had to get creative to fit them all in without looking too cramped and with an eye for a pleasing arrangement. Thank you to Allison and her helpers. The show looks FABULOUS and I am so proud of the work that is representing our club. Creative and inspiring images came from all the submitters and I was so happy to see work from some of our newest members. Bravo! Give yourselves a round of applause.

Please remember to send Rob web-sized files of the works you submitted so he can create a gallery on our web site for this show.

And I hope ALL members will stop into the opening reception on Sunday afternoon, December 8th between 1 and 4 PM. It is a show of support for your fellow members and will be a chance to review the images and talk to the makers. Bring your friends and family. Light fare and beverages will be served--please contribute a sweet or savory item to the table. 

If you cannot be there Sunday the 8th, definitely stop by another day before the show closes on the 30th (take down will be on the 31st, any time during library hours--please don't remove images before the 31st).
